ACA 630/40
Accelerator Board for Amiga 600
The ACA 630/40 accelerator board for the Amiga 600 computer
comes with a socketed 68030 CPU clocked at 40 MHz, a socket
for one PS/2 SIMM of up to 128 MB RAM (at selectable speed),
and 512 KBytes of Flash memory.
As opposed to other Amiga 600 accelerators, the ACA 630
can be mounted safely, a distance sleeve keeps the card
from bending.
Since heat is the main problem in the small case of the
Amiga 600, there is no FPU option and large parts of the
logic are designed in 3.3V technology. The 68030 CPU
sits in a socket, so the user can increase the performance
with a faster processor and crystal oscillator.
The technical details:
- 68030/33 processor clocked at 40 MHz
- 128 MByte RAM option, selectable speed
- 512K Flash memory
- PCMCIA-friendly
- low-heat design
