The Small Revolution
Only a mere 4.1 Watt of power consumption (1080mW by CPU,
3 Watt by 128MB RAM). A complete system with graphics card
and harddisk consumes less than 20 Watt of power.
Despite the small size, you can make use of IDE and USB devices.
Also, EFIKA supports PCI/AGP extension cards.
No active cooling required, thus fully silent operation.
Due to the lack of a fan, there is one less system component
which might fail because of abrasion. This should result in an
increased system stability.
The EFIKA 5K2 is a performance evaluation board based around the MPC5200B
PowerPC System-on-Chip (SoC) from Freescale Semiconductor.
Specifications are as follows:
- Freescale MPC5200B PowerPC SoC up to 400MHz
- 128MB DDR RAM
- 44-pin IDE connector
- 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet
- 2x USB ports
- 1x RS232 Serial port
- Stereo Audio out, Microphone and Line-input
